WHY DO WE DO RAFFLES?

Raffles and Casinos are very important fundraisers for the association. They allow Southwest Hockey to offset ice costs that would otherwise have to be paid through registration fees. By raising money through Raffles and Casinos, the Association can keep fees reasonable and keep fee increases to a minimum, while still providing a quality hockey program for our players.

WHAT ARE WE DOING THIS SEASON?

For the 2021/22 Season, Southwest Hockey has decided to conduct two online 50/50 raffles – one in the fall and one in the winter. With ongoing concerns related to the COVID-19 pandemic, online ticket sales are safer and more practical versus handling cash and physical tickets. Southwest Hockey has chosen to use Rafflebox as our online raffle provider.

HOW DO I SELL TICKETS?

Teams can use the QR code or the following link: https://www.rafflebox.ca/raffle/southwestmha

These can be given to anyone who wants to buy tickets (as long as they are purchasing the ticket in Alberta). They then need to select your team from the drop down menu. This will register the sale to your team. There will be incentives for the top selling teams, so stay tuned!

Through the website, people can purchase tickets using credit, debit or e-transfer. Note that tickets can only be sold to people 18 years or age or older and only in the province of Alberta.

TEAM ASSOCIATION INCENTIVES;

Association will reward the top 3 selling teams. To be eligible the top 3 teams need to sell a minimum $3000 worth of tickets. Incentive is paid by the Association so the teams are able to allocate the money however they choose without restrictions.

1st place $600
2nd Place $500
3rd Place $400

WHAT ARE THE TICKET PRICES?

The 50/50 ticket prices are as follows:

• 1 for $10 – 30 packages available
• 4 for $20 – 210 packages available
• 20 for $50 – 130 packages available
• 100 for $100 – 90 packages available

A maximum of $20,000.00 can be sold.
