Players from Southwest Hockey who are in Bantam, Midget or JR are eligible to try out for quadrant hockey. Depending on the community you live in you will register with either the Calgary Buffaloes or the Calgary Royals Association.

QUADRANT Associations are permitted to open registration as they are not impacted by the boundary changes.  If you wish to register for elite tryouts you may contact your respective Quadrant Association. Once SW is permitted to open registration we will follow up with those who have registered with a quadrant.

When registering using the Southwest website, simply choose the quadrant tryout option within the Bantam, Midget & JR age group categories. There will be no registration fee required until we have confirmation that the player has been released by your quadrant team and is returning to play with Southwest.  At that time, the registration fee must be paid in FULL prior to the player’s first evaluation skate with Southwest.  Contact the Registrar at to arrange payment. If your player is returned to Southwest for the 2019-20 season and they are not registered with Southwest, then registration will be accepted based on availability and a late registration fee of $200 will apply.
