EVALUATIONS - 2026/2027

The 2026-2027 season is here, and Southwest Hockey is looking forward to welcomg our athletes back to the rink!

Our evaluation process continues to follow the established framework supported by Hockey Calgary, Hockey Canada, and Village Sports, providing consistency and clarity for families across all age groups.

Evaluations help us understand where athletes are today so they can be placed in an environment that supports development, confidence, and a positive season experience. Each year brings new athletes into every division, which means returning players are evaluated within a refreshed group of peers. As divisions evolve, team placements can shift from season to season based on the overall skill landscape - a natural part of minor hockey as age groups change.

While the process remains steady, every season brings new opportunities for athletes to grow, compete, and enjoy the game.

We're excited to begin a strong year of Cougars hockey!
