HCR ID - first shift or jr flames
Participants who were in a First Shift Program or JR Flames Program through Hockey Calgary, likely have a Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) account already!
Follow the "Transfer" steps at the bottom of this page to begin the process so we can gain access to your existing account.
HCR ID - NEW Participants
This is for NEW participants who need a Hockey Canada Registry ID # ("HCR ID") .

Log into your Hockey Canada / Spordle Account. Your HCR Account gives you access to your RIS / Shift Forward, Certifications & HCR ID

Heading into the 2026-2027 Hockey Canada is launching The Shift Forward: Evolving Hockey Culture, a new learning and development program that is the home for national education and training with courses for coaches & parents/guardians.
You will need to create or have your child HCR ID number to take this course. Refer to the instructions above if you need an HCR ID number. Certification is valid for 4 seasons.

proof of residency ("POR")
Hockey Calgary requires four (4) pieces from the Acceptable POR list.
Important: At any time a Member can be asked to provide additional Proof of Residency if deemed necessary by Southwest Hockey or Hockey Calgary.

difference between house league and Community league
U9 & U11 participants have a choice to register in either the House League or Community League.
HOCKEY CALGARY REGISTRATION POLICY
Beginning the 2025-26 playing season Hockey Alberta updated their regulations regarding player registration. As such Hockey Calgary has updated the registration policy to clarify the changes.
